Kwaku is an experienced lawyer with keen focus on effective dispute resolution and trial advocacy. He routinely represents clients in personal injury matters including motor vehicle accidents, motor bike accidents, as well as slips and falls.
Having previously represented large insurance companies, Kwaku has firsthand understanding of the hurdles that everyday people face when attempting to navigate insurance red tape or obtain compensation for their injuries. He appreciates that the physical, emotional, and financial burdens from an injury can be overwhelming – and that is why he aims to be accessible every step of the way to help injured clients.
Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Kwaku immigrated to Canada in 2008 and kept alive his longstanding dream of becoming a lawyer. He has developed diverse skills that enable him to appreciate various perspectives and provide tailored legal advice to each of his clients, including those with catastrophic injuries, brain injuries, spinal whiplash injuries.
Kwaku has appeared before the Alberta and Ontario Courts of Justice, the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, the Federal Court, and several tribunals. He also acts as a hearing adjudicator for regulated professionals including physicians, dentists, optometrists, nurses, and social workers, who are governed under Alberta’s Health Professions Act.
Outside of work, Kwaku enjoys dancing to afrobeats, salsa and bachata, travelling, and playing soccer.

“As a personal injury lawyer, I consider myself a facilitator of justice. Justice has many moving parts that require all sides to play their role. I hold tremendous pride in contributing to justice for my clients and furthering their interests so they can move forward after their injury.”
I am a stickler for details, but I balance this drive with practical know-how and experience. When working with me, you’ll find I am committed to attaining your goals through the best legal route possible. Maintaining client communication is a significant priority, as is ensuring you understand your case’s details and the legal process.
In Alberta, I have experience in alternative dispute resolution, including private Mediation and Judicial Dispute Resolution. I have appeared in all levels of Civil Court in Alberta, including the Provincial Court (Civil), the Court of King’s Bench and the Alberta Court of Appeal. I am also a non-resident practicing member of the Northwest Territories Bar. I have appeared in the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories and the Court of Appeal for the Northwest Territories. This background and experience submitting a written argument to the Supreme Court of Canada mean your personal injury law case is in expert hands!
I highly value the opportunities I have to give back to the community through my personal injury law work and other activities. In the past, I have led pledge drive activities with Edmonton United Way, and I look forward to continuing to support my community.
